CHATSWORTH HIGH SCHOOL IS A 2019 VARSITY BRAND SCHOOL SPIRIT AWARD NATIONAL FINALIST!

The Spirit of Inclusion Award will honor one school that goes out of its way to welcome new students, accommodate students with diverse needs and educate students about issues related to diversity and inclusion.

The mission of Chatsworth Charter High School's Alternate Curriculum Programs are for students who have the ID, AUT, and MDO eligibility, we provide leadership, guidance, and supports for those students. We do this through our focus on Community-Based Instruction, School-Based Enterprises, The Unique Learning System, and the Oxford Picture Dictionary. We are committed to providing a safe and enriching learning environment as we help prepare students to reach their full potential and contribute to society.

Our teachers are...
Mr. Eric Peres
Mr. Peres is in his tenth year at Chatsworth Charter High School and nineteenth with the Los Angeles Unified School District, he has also worked at Sylmar High School and Reseda High School. Mr. Peres is a graduate of California State University of Northridge, along with his Bachelor of Arts degree in History, he also holds his Education Specialist teaching credential and a Masters in Educational Administration. Mr. Peres has always served students with disabilities, he has worked in many capacities during his time in LAUSD; Resource Teacher, Special Day Class Teacher, Special Education Coordinator. However, it is his teaching role in the CBI Program at Chatsworth High School he enjoys and appreciates the most.
Mrs. Eileen Alcorn
Mrs. Alcorn is in her tenth year at Chatsworth Charter High School and her seventeenth year with the Los Angeles Unified School District, she has also worked at Germain Street Elementary School. Mrs. Alcorn is a graduate from University of Phoenix, along with her Masters Degree in Special Education, she also holds her Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe Education Specialist teaching credentials. Mrs. Alcorn has always served students with disabilities while working in the Los Angeles School District. On a personal note, Mrs. Alcorn is a graduate from Chatsworth High School.
Ms. Patty Chavez
Ms. Chavez is in her fourth year at Chatsworth Charter High school and nineteenth year with Los Angeles Unified School District. Ms. Chavez has worked at Miller Career and Transition Center as well as at Ernest Lawrence Middle School. Ms. Chavez is a graduate of National University and has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, along with a Master’s Degree in Special Education, and a Moderate/Severe Education Specialist teaching credential. Ms. Chavez started off her career in education as a Special Education Assistant and it is there that she found her passion for serving students with disabilities. She is excited to join the team at Chatsworth!!
Ms. Stacey Nowak
Ms. Nowak started with the Los Angeles Unified School District in 2005 as a campus aide and began her teaching career in 2007 at Chatsworth High School. In 2014 she began working for the CSUN Dept. of Police Services and returned to Chatsworth Charter High School in January 2019. Ms. Nowak graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science. She has a Master of Arts degree in Education, holds a single subject teaching credential in Health Education and is actively pursuing her Education Specialist teaching credential and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education at National University. Ms. Nowak is a proud graduate of Chatsworth High School.
